The investment in capital assets presents some of the greatest challenges that managers face in today’s fast developing business environment. The appraisal of such investments has been the subject of debate in both the academic and professional literature for many years with no definitive conclusions being reached. In this book, the author presents some of his academic papers which have been published over the past twenty-five years – dealing with the appraisal of capital projects; the development of the FAP model; the financial, strategic and risk assessment models; the influence of a project champion; appraisal team conflict; and the post audit of capital investments. It is hoped that this book will be of interest to students, researchers and practitioners
