The Shed Go Marching On is the third and final book in a trilogy charting the first 100 years of Dundee United FC from its foundation in 1909. This volume picks up the story from 1979 and details the history of the Club until 2009.

The Club passed a momentous milestone in 1979, winning national silverware for the first time and within twelve months added a second trophy. A Scottish League championship came next and during the 1980s there were many more finals, including the UEFA Cup.  However, it was not until 1994 that the Scottish Cup was added to complete a full set of domestic honours. The Club then faced a period of fluctuating fortunes until the arrival of a Craig Levein as Manager in 2006. Since then the Club has fared well and the future is looking bright.

This book contains an in depth review of each season and it also profiles all of the players who made debuts during the period.

The author, Steve Gracie is a life long Dundee United supporter who has spent more than seven years researching the Club’s history. He still works with Dundee United on a regular basis in various capacities.
